President & CEO Bud Nocera has the ultimate responsibility for all corporate functions in close consultation with VISIT FLORIDA’s Board of Directors and the Florida Commission on Tourism. He joined the corporation as executive vice president & chief operating officer in 1996 and was appointed the organization’s head in 2003. Before coming to VISIT FLORIDA, he held tourism-related positions at the Jacksonville and Lee County Convention & Visitors Bureaus, the Florida Aquarium in Tampa and the City of Fort Myers.

Chris Thompson is VISIT FLORIDA’s second-in-command as Chief Operating Officer. Before that, he was the corporation’s Senior Vice President for Partner Development. His previous tourism experience included executive posts at the Florida Department of Commerce Division of Tourism, the Leon County Tourist Development Council and the Tallahassee Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. He also founded a successful management, marketing and planning services firm.

Chief Financial Officer Vangie McCorvey takes care of all financial aspects of VISIT FLORIDA, as well as overseeing the Human Resources and Management Information Services departments. She also serves as the corporation’s representative on the Finance Committee of the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors. Joining the corporation in 1996, she holds an accounting degree from Florida State University and is a Florida licensed certified public accountant.

Eileen Forrow is VISIT FLORIDA’s Vice President of Sales, directing all domestic and international interaction with travel agents, tour operators, meeting planners as well as participation in travel-trade and consumer shows. Before coming aboard in 1999, she was president of EFC Marketing America, a private tourism promotional firm. She began her tourism career as Director of Canadian sales for the Florida Department of Commerce Division of Tourism.

VISIT FLORIDA’s Vice President of Visitor Services David Dodd is responsible for the operation of the state’s five Official Florida Welcome Centers, which also handle all visitor information requests via the corporation’s 1-888-7-FLAUSA toll-free number. He originally joined the corporation in the sales arena in 1996 and before that was a development representative at the Florida Department of Commerce Division of Tourism.

Cliff Nilson is General Counsel and Vice President of Governmental Relations for VISIT FLORIDA, with responsibility for aligning the public and private goals of marketing the state as a visitor destination. He has extensive experience in the legislative affairs arena and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

VISIT FLORIDA’s Vice President of Research, Barry Pitegoff, monitors Florida’s tourism data and trends affecting travel and strategic research on programs. His Florida tourism research background extends back to 1981 when he joined the Florida Department of Commerce Division of Tourism. He is recognized today as one of the industry’s pre-eminent research authorities.

Kerri Post is Vice President of New Product Development for VISIT FLORIDA, coordinating the identification of new tourism markets and products, particularly in the realms of nature-based, historical, cultural and rural tourism. Prior to coming to VISIT FLORIDA in 1998, she spent 12 years in marketing management and ownership roles for a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations.
